Fajarasia.co – The Nahdlatul Ulama Executive Board (PBNU) has collaborated with the international institution Center for Shared Civilizational Values (CSCV).
“This institution has previously supported NU activities internationally,” said PBNU General Chair Yahya Cholil Staquf or Gus Yahya in a written statement in Jakarta, Saturday (21/5/2022).
It was also explained that the Center for Shared Civilizational Values is an institution established in 2021 in North Carolina, United States of America, by K.H. Mustafa Bisri.
The signing of the memorandum of understanding was carried out at the opening of the NU Grand Conference in Jakarta, Friday (20/5) night.
In addition, cooperation with CSCV is also to make the agenda of two international conferences ready for the NU century.
“Next year, NU will be 100 years old, PBNU will launch a series and programs to meet that age,” he said.
Gus Yahya explained that the planned activity was in the form of an international conference of religious leaders around the world, the implementation of which was close to the G20 activities in November 2022.
“The activity is called R20 or religion twenty,” he said.
Gus Yahya continued the next conference, namely the international conference on the fiqh of civilization.
“These two agendas are currently very much needed by the world community related to the various crises that have hit and until now there has not been a solution,” he said.****
