Fajarasia.co – Puan Maharani’s volunteer fighter in Medan, North Sumatra officially reported the destruction of Puan’s billboard to the Medan Police, Tuesday night, August 9, 2022.
The report is a legal effort so that the police investigate the perpetrators, whose motives and perpetrators are unknown at this time.
“We are taking legal action so that similar incidents do not happen again. The destruction of Puan Maharani’s billboards sets a bad precedent for the democratic process in Medan,” said Iskandar Mubin Dongoran, Puan Maharani’s volunteer fighter who reported to the Medan Polrestabes, Wednesday 10 August 2022.
Volunteers came to the Medan Police Headquarters at around 19.00 WIB. They brought evidence in the form of photos of billboards that had been damaged by unknown people at a number of locations.
“This kind of destruction is not the first time, and Mrs. Puan has not had a problem so far, but we who are below, volunteers, certainly don’t accept this destruction.
The police have received our report and will move to investigate the case that has hurt the feelings of our volunteer Puan Maharani fighters,” he added.
Iskandar said that his party was aware of the destruction of the billboard that reads Puan Maharani President 2024 on Monday, August 8, 2022 at around 17.00. The damaged billboards were installed on Jalan Letda Sujono after Bandar Kopi, Bandar Selamat, and Medan Tembung. The report was recorded with the number STTP/2510/VIII/2022/SPKT/Polrestabes Medan/Polda Sumut.
“We report that this irresponsible party is aware, that is not the way to bring down Puan, the people who are members of the Puan Fighters will continue to move regardless of the obstacles,” he said.
He also emphasized that the vandalism action did not reduce the enthusiasm of the volunteers to continue to socialize Puan Maharani as president in 2024. “In fact, the volunteers became more solid and had a fighting spirit. This incident did not make us an inch of land recede,” he concluded.
Previously reported, hundreds of billboards reading ‘Puan Maharani President 2024’ were installed in various corners of the city of Medan.
