Fajarasia.co – The chairman of the DPR RI, Puan Maharani, is considered the most appropriate figure to continue and complete the work program of the government of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).
This was conveyed by Political Communication Expert from Pelita Harapan University (UPH) Emrus Sihombing to the media crew, in Jakarta, Sunday (22/5).
According to him, the next leadership must have a commitment to be able to continue and complete the work programs of the Jokowi government. Among them, the completion of the construction of the New Capital, the construction of toll road infrastructure, dams, airports.
He believes that a number of development programs carried out will have an impact on the nation’s economic growth in the future.
“Can Puan Maharani continue that? Yes, she can. Only Puan can continue her dreams and maintain the development program that has been carried out by Pak Jokowi,” he said.
Emrus reasoned that the two figures (Jokowi-Puan, ed) were from the same political party, namely the PDI-P. So, he continued, as party cadres, of course, they have the same ideological beliefs.
“If it’s from one house isn’t it more homogeneous, compared to coming from different houses,” he said.
Therefore, Emrus believes that from the names of the presidential candidates appearing in the public sphere today, it is Puan Maharani who is considered capable of committing to continue the development program in the Jokowi era.
“I think the only one who can continue the development and maintain the development carried out by Pak Jokowi, the only one is Puan Maharani, compared to other candidates who do not have homogeneity,” he concluded.***
