Fajarasia.co – Chairman of the National Awakening Party (PKB) DPP Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar will hold a gathering with thousands of scholars as well as pray together for world peace.
In a press release received in Surabaya, Saturday, the gathering which was packaged in halal-bihalal was held in Surabaya on Sunday (22/5).
A number of scholars who are scheduled to attend, among others, the Chairperson of the East Java PWNU K.H. Marzuki Mustamar, K.H. Anwar Mansur, K.H. Nurul Huda Djazuli, K.H. Abdullah Kafabihi Mahrus, K.H. Kholil As’ad Situbondo, K.H. Abdurrohman Al-Kautsar, and a number of other khos of East Java.
According to Muhaimin Iskandar, currently there are many problems that occur in various parts of the world.
In addition to the COVID-19 pandemic which has not yet completely disappeared, conflicts have occurred in various countries, including the hottest now being the war between Russia and Ukraine.
“This conflict between Russia and Ukraine if not resolved immediately could have a serious impact on the world. The impact is extraordinary. This is a world problem that must be resolved immediately,” he said.
The Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives said that the conflict between Russia and Ukraine also had an impact on the world economy.
“The most terrible thing is the human impact. How many thousands, if not millions of people will die if the war is not stopped immediately?” said the politician who is familiarly called Gus Muhaimin.
Not only Russia and Ukraine, the issue of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict that continues to drag on and shows no signs of stopping is also a serious issue that must be ended immediately.
“Not to mention the condition of the children who are victims of the conflict in Palestine, their future, the women who have lost their husbands and homes. This is really terrible,” he said.
According to him, Indonesia must be actively involved in various efforts to achieve world peace. This is the ideal of independence and the goal of Indonesia’s foreign policy.
“In the fourth paragraph of the Preamble to the 1945 Constitution, it is stated that this nation must be able to carry out world order based on independence, eternal peace and social justice,” he said.
Meanwhile, the prayer event with the ulama is part of the effort so that peace on this earth will soon be realized.
“There are still many problems that cause disruption of world peace. We are together with the ulema, Habib, trying to knock on the door of heaven, asking Allah SWT so that our dreams and this nation’s really come true,” he said.****
