Fajarasia.co – The Anti-Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) selected 10 villages throughout Indonesia, as candidates for pilot anti-corruption villages. Meanwhile, Kumbang village, East Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara was selected as a candidate for an anti-corruption pilot village in 2022.
Governor of NTB, Dr. H. Zulkieflimansyah, attended directly the opening of the Anti-corruption Village program which was held in one of the prospective anti-corruption villages, namely Pakkato Village, Bontomarannu District, Gowa, South Sulawesi on Tuesday (7/6/2022).
The chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission, Firli Bahuri, in his speech said this was one of the efforts to prevent corruption at the rural level in Indonesia.
“We understand very well that the role of the village is so important. If more than 74 thousand villages are free from corruption, then surely the picture of regencies/cities is free from corruption,” he said.
He continued, he hoped that with a large budget of Rp 468.5 trillion for villages, the use of these village funds must be ensured in accordance with the objectives.
“We have to make sure of the Rp 468.5 trillion budget, that every village head understands how to draw up work plans from the village and understands the preparation of accountability properly, both formally and materially, so that it is far from corruption,” he hoped.
For information, there are 10 villages throughout Indonesia that were selected by the Anti-Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) as candidates for anti-corruption village pilots. Before determining the 10 villages, the KPK team made observations on 23 villages in 10 provinces.
The 10 candidates for anti-corruption villages include Pakatto Village in Gowa, South Sulawesi, Kamang Hilla Village in Agam Regency, West Sumatra, Hanura Village in Pesawaran Regency, Lampung, Mungguk Village in Sekadau Regency, West Kalimantan. Then, Cibiru Wetan Village in Bandung Regency, West Java, Banyubiru Village in Semarang Regency, Central Java, Sukojati Village in Banyuwangi Regency, East Java, Kutuh Village in Badung Regency, Bali, West Batusoko Village in Ende Regency, NTT and Kumbang Village in East Lombok Regency, NTB.
