Fajarasia.co – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) invites the public to help find the suspect Harun Masiku, who has been on the wanted list (DPO) since January 2020.
“In principle, the existence of a fugitive or a DPO is our commitment if there are people, anyone who knows of his whereabouts or at least looks like him, can report to us, please report,” said KPK Deputy for Enforcement and Execution Karyoto at the KPK Building, Jakarta, Friday(20/5/2022).
The former candidate from the PDI-P is a suspect in the alleged bribery case related to the appointment of members of the DPR RI to be elected in 2019-2024.
“If you don’t believe it, you can also come but at your own expense. For example, where are we going, I’ll check. For example, later with the help of the police or we secure the targets in question, we are ready. That means, we are not closing ourselves off,” said Karyoto .
He refused to explain further regarding the development of the Harun search process. Nevertheless, he stated that the KPK remains committed to continuing to look for Harun.
“Once again, I won’t tell you where the suspected existence will not be told, but what is clear is that we have already started. That is, when it is possible to stop at places and others, we will look for it,” he said.
Therefore, he also hopes that there will be people who know about Harun’s whereabouts in Indonesia so that he can be found sooner.
“Hopefully there will be people who can see clearly that they are in Indonesia and they will find them sooner. If they are outside Indonesia, yes, anywhere, actually if the biometric photos of Indonesian citizens who have crossed can be detected internationally because it is an international program, biometric photos. I don’t know where they are, if they know, they’ve been arrested yesterday,” said Karyoto.
Previously, KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri said the suspects included in the DPO, including Harun, could not sleep well because they were still being sought.
“I’m sure to this day he can’t sleep well because the KPK will always be looking for him. It’s just a matter of time before he will be caught,” said Firli at the KPK Building, Jakarta, Wednesday (18/5).
Apart from Harun, Firli said, the KPK has also made sure to hunt down other fugitives who have not been caught.
“KPK still notes that there are several people who are still being sought by the KPK. I’m not mentioning one, but not just one person,” said Firli.*****
