Fajarasia.co – Acting Spokesman for the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Ali Fikri asked the public to officially report to the anti-corruption agency if they have information regarding the whereabouts of Harun Masiku.
The request was made after Novel Baswedan offered to help the KPK search for fugitive Harun Masiku.
“So that the information can be immediately followed up in a concrete way, instead of conveying it in a public space, which is feared that it will hamper the tracking process,” Ali told reporters, Monday (23/5/2022).
Ali said that conveying information on Harun’s whereabouts in public spaces was considered a futile effort. Harun can even escape to another place, if Novel really knows his whereabouts.
Ali also emphasized that the KPK is still looking for Harun. Harun is confirmed to be undergoing a legal process related to the alleged bribery in the interim replacement process for members of the Indonesian House of Representatives.
“We make sure we don’t stop looking for HM (Harun Masiku),” said Ali.
It is known, Novel Baswedan offered to help find fugitive Harun Masiku to the KPK. The former KPK investigator and several of his colleagues are ready to look for Harun.
“If you can’t afford it, you can ask us to help you catch HM (Harun Masiku). I’m sure it won’t take too long,” Novel said in a written statement, today. ****
