Fajarasia.co – The choice of the 0 kilometer point of the State Capital (IKN) as the location for the peak event of the Health Service Day in the context of the 76th Anniversary of Bhayangkara, is full of important meanings.
Humanitarian and Political Activist from the Humanitarian Activist Network (JAKI), Yudi Syamhudi Suyuti, revealed that the election was the strategy of National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo in gathering public support for the success of IKN development.
“First, what is certain is that it confirms the determination that the National Police will fully oversee the IKN agenda,” Yudi told reporters, Saturday (6/18/2022).
According to him, the commitment of the National Police is very important to the strategic agenda and national priorities. Especially now that Phase I of the IKN Development Plan has begun.
In that stage, he added, there will be many things that need to be anticipated by the Police. One of them is related to potential problems due to land acquisition, relocation of settlements, including efforts to maintain social cohesion.
“Secondly, (the selection of the zero point) is the National Police Chief’s strategy to consolidate support, because those present there are not only local residents, there are many elements of organizational representatives,” he said.
He said the success of the National Police Chief in consolidating support can be seen from the joint signing between elements of youth organizations, student affairs, and trade unions.
They are said to unite their determination to jointly support and oversee IKN development to completion.
“Indeed, this is not the first time, but the Kapolri’s persuasive steps to expand this support cannot be separated from the framework of the police’s responsibilities,” said Yudi.
He considered that the National Police Chief’s strategy was right to make it easier for the police to maintain environmental conduciveness in the early stages of development. This is because the quality of the process at the initial stage is often the determinant of success in the later stages.
In addition, he also believes that this strategy will increase support for political resources related to national support for the IKN project.
“Don’t think there is no pessimism and cynicism, yes, there is clearly, and the National Police Chief is aware that this can erode public support,” he concluded. ****
