Invited by the Muslim World League, Puan Visits the Prophet Muhammad Museum in Medina

Fajarasia.co – On the sidelines of performing Umrah in Saudi Arabia, the Chairman of the Indonesian House of Representatives visited the International Museum of the History of the Prophet Muhammad and Islamic Civilization in Medina. Puan’s visit to the Shirah Nabawiyah Museum was an invitation from the Muslim World League.

Puan started her visit to the Prophet Muhammad SAW Museum in Medina, Monday (30/5/2022), by performing the Asr prayer in congregation at the Prophet’s Mosque.

Puan’s arrival to the Museum, which is located in the Prophet’s Mosque Complex, was warmly welcomed by the President Director of the International Exhibition and Museum of the History of the Prophet Muhammad and Shaykh Dr. Islamic Civilization. Yahya Atiyah Al-Kinany and Chairman of the Assallam Waqf Foundation, Shaykh Dr. Nasir Az-Zahroni.

Bung Karno’s grandson was then invited to tour the entire venue and collection of the Prophet’s museum. The life story of the Prophet Muhammad can be enjoyed and studied at the Museum of the History of the Prophet Muhammad, which has just opened in 2021.

“I am very happy because in this museum I can see firsthand the history of the Prophet Muhammad SAW since he was born until he died and his life at that time,” said Puan while talking with Sheikh Dr. Yahya Atiyah Al-Kinany who represented the Secretary General of the World Muslim League, Sheikh Dr. Muhammad Abdul Karim Al-Issa.

The Museum of the Prophet Muhammad SAW is a reflection of the life of the Prophet Muhammad and the starting point of Islamic civilization which has now spread throughout the world. In the museum, there is an attractive digital screen display that tells the history of the life and journey of the Prophet Muhammad’s da’wah.

In addition, there are also artifacts displayed in the museum with multidimensional forms that look like real.

Currently, in Indonesia, the International Museum of the History of the Prophet and Islamic Civilization is being built, which is supported by the World Muslim League and the Assallam Waqf Foundation in collaboration with the Indonesian Mosque Council (DMI). Puan also conveyed her pride because Indonesia was chosen to be the first country outside Saudi Arabia to build the Prophet Muhammad SAW Museum.

“On behalf of the Indonesian nation, we express our gratitude because Indonesia was chosen as the first country to build the Prophet Muhammad Museum out of 25 countries that submitted applications. This is an honor for us,” said the first woman who served as Chair of the Indonesian House of Representatives.

“We also want Saudi Arabia’s relations with Indonesia to be closer. And so that we can imitate the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad regarding tolerance and moderate Islam,” continued Puan.

Beberapa kali, Puan menjadi sasaran selfie jamaah asal Indonesia.

“Surprise sekali bisa ketemu Mbak Puan di Masjid Nabawi. Senang sekali rasanya,” ujar salah satu jamaah perempuan asal Jakarta.
