Fajarasia.co – The chairman of the DPR RI, Puan Maharani, inaugurated the integrated polyclinic of the Depati Hamzah Hospital, Pangkalpinang, Bangka Belitung (Babel). He also emphasized the importance of health facilities in providing the best service to the community.
Inauguration of the UPTD Outpatient Polyclinic (Regional Technical Implementation Unit) at the Depati Hamzah Hospital became one of the agendas for Puan’s working visit in Pangkalpinang, Monday (20/6/2022). This new polyclinic facility integrates the services of 27 specialist doctor clinics which were previously separated into 3 building blocks, so that it often creates problems for the community.
“In our constitution it is clearly written that every Indonesian citizen has the right to obtain health services. This means that it is the duty of the state to provide quality health services to the people,” said Puan at the inauguration ceremony.
The first woman to serve as Chair of the DPR RI said that the Central and Regional Governments have an obligation to realize the constitutional mandate. Therefore, Puan welcomes the improvement of health services at the Depati Hamzah Hospital through the construction of new health service facilities in which an outpatient pharmacy is available and is adjacent to the ER and Radiology.
“God willing, we hope that the people who come to the Depati Hamzah Hospital will no longer feel bothered, but patients who come here know that they will receive quality, friendly, and comfortable health services,” he said.
Puan reminded the Babel Provincial Government and Pangkalpinang City Government as well as health workers to be at the forefront of promoting a healthy lifestyle to the community. Both that can be done independently by the community, as well as those that need to be facilitated by the Government.
Starting from physical activity, eating vegetables and fruit, not smoking, checking health regularly, and cleaning the environment as well as using the latrine.
“Because if we want Indonesia to be healthy, if we want the Indonesian people to be really healthy, then improving the quality of health services must move side by side with preventive health efforts,” said Puan.
“So I hope that today we will not only inaugurate new health care facilities, but we will also develop a healthy lifestyle. The spirit of a healthy Indonesia, to achieve a great Indonesia,” added the former Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture.
After carrying out the symbolic inauguration, Puan then visited the UPTD Outpatient Polyclinic at the Depati Hamzah Hospital accompanied by the Director of the hospital, Dr. Della Rianadita. In the registration section, he talked with a number of patients, including about BPJS services at the hospital.
Puan also reviewed the rooms and facilities in a number of clinics, such as eye, dental, and heart clinics. Then he had a dialogue with a number of doctors at the Depati Hamzah Hospital.
The inauguration of the UPTD Outpatient Polyclinic at the Depati Hamzah Hospital was also attended by the Acting Governor of Babylon, Ridwan Djamaluddin. In addition, the Mayor of Pangkalpinang, Maulan Aklil and a number of Forkopimda were also present.****
