Fajarasia.co – SOE Minister Erick Thohir encourages the acceleration of digital use (digitalization) in the education sector as a strategy to deal with digital disruption.
The Minister of SOEs advised that the challenge for Indonesia’s young generation is to be ready to face change and understand technology.
“Today, the challenge for Indonesia’s young generation is to prepare themselves in the digital era and face change by being part of the change itself. It’s time for the younger generation and the world of education to come forward, so that we are no longer foam in this era of digital disruption, we must appear to take part and be a wave,” said Erick Thohir in a written statement received in Jakarta, Friday.
Erick said this at an education digitalization assistance event by PT Telkom at the HKBP 1 Private High School (SMAS) and the Siatas Barita State Vocational High School (SMKN) 1, Tarutung, North Sumatra.
During the visit, the Minister of SOEs accompanied by Telkom President Director Ririek Adriansyah and Telkomsel Sales Director Adiwinahyu Basuki Sigit symbolically handed over the support for digitalization of education to the Principal of SMAS HKBP 1 Tarutung and SMKN 1 Siatas Barita in the form of a computer laboratory consisting of computer equipment for schools and laptops for teachers and the provision of internet access.
In addition, Telkom also provides School Incandescent services, which are digital learning platforms that include teaching and learning processes, school management systems, and learning content.
The education sector is one of the main focuses of the government to continue to be developed this year, where improving the quality of education is believed to be able to support the birth of the nation’s best talents in the future.
