Fajarasia.co – The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) released an earthquake that occurred in the southwest of South Nias on Wednesday (25/5/2022).
“#Earthquake Felt Magnitude: 6.2, Depth: 10 km, May 25 2022 22:05:06 WIB, coordinates: 4.71 South Latitude-92.67 East Longitude (Earthquake epicenter was at sea 819 km southwest of South Nias), Felt (MMI): II – III South Nias #BMKG,” wrote BMKG as uploaded on its Twitter account, Wednesday (25/5/2022).
BMKG reminded the public to be careful of possible aftershocks. The earthquake did not have the potential for a tsunami.***
