DPR Appreciates Indonesian Hajj Congregation Service

Fajarasia.co – The Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR) appreciates the services provided by Indonesian Hajj officials to prospective Hajj pilgrims in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. According to the Deputy Chairman of Commission VIII of the DPR RI, Diah Pitaloka, in general the services provided to the congregation are good.

“In general, the hotel is good, the food is delicious, the congregation also likes it. Thank God, yes,” said Deputy Chairman of Commission VIII DPR RI, Diah Pitaloka in Mecca, Wednesday (29/6/2022).

Diah came to Mecca with a group of representatives from the DPR RI. They took the time to taste the food prepared for the congregation.

“The food is standard. The aspiration is that the congregation misses crackers and jengkol,” Diah said further.

The taste of the food is quite good according to Diah. He also witnessed that apart from getting basic food, the congregation also got zamzam fruit and water.

However, there are several notes conveyed by Diah, such as the problem of hotel room capacity.

“The room capacity can be uniform, at least one difference. This is not a problem of the size of the room, but psychological. Six people for 40 days in one room, maybe three of them are more comfortable. This means that the standard equation for each congregation may need to be improved,” said Diah.

Another member of the House of Representatives Commission VIII Abdul Wahid visited Al Kiswah Tower, Jarwal area in sector 4. Wahid also expressed his appreciation for the services provided to Indonesian pilgrims.

“We saw and chatted, the Indonesian pilgrims were very happy with the facilities provided,” said Abdul Wahid.

The Indonesian House of Representatives delegation led by Wahid consisted of 9 people who were a combination of commissions from Commission VIII, IX, and Commission I. According to him, the congregation also praised the implementation of this year’s hajj. Hotel rooms, according to them, are very comfortable because each congregation gets one bed.

“The bathroom is also good. Catering is also good, Indonesian flavors. There is also fruit in every meal,” said the politician from Gerindra.

Likewise with transportation. The presence of a prayer bus that serves the congregation for 24 hours from all hotels to the Grand Mosque back and forth was also appreciated by members of the DPR.

After visiting the Al Kiswah Tower, the DPR member immediately visited the Al Mutamayizzun catering location which provided food for 5,500 congregations. From the terminal, the visit continues to see the Sagreyah Hotel in Raudhah. The hotel is specifically for the congregation of Aceh and Medan.

Similar to Al Kiswah Tower, the members of the DPR also received satisfaction from the congregation.

“Alhamdulillah, the food is delicious. Three times a day, the taste is also typical of Indonesia. You can get fruit too. The hotel is also comfortable,” said Siti Maryam, a prospective pilgrim from Aceh. ****
