Fajarasia.co –The adab of gratitude is our way to get blessings in building the nation

Deputy Chairperson of the MPR Ahmad Muzani attended the graduation ceremony for the Riyadhussalam Islamic Boarding School led by KH Abdul Wahid, Mandalawangi, Pandeglang, Banten, Saturday (25/6/2022). Also present were members of Commission X DPR from the Gerindra faction, Ali Zamroni and Chairman of the Pandeglang DPRD, Tubagus Udi Juhdi.

On this occasion Muzani spoke about the importance of moral and ethical education in the world of education. Because, it is an important provision for every student if in the future they have become leaders in the community. Because we often put aside etiquette and morals, thanking those who have raised us, especially in the world of politics, anomalies often occur.

Because jtu Muzani advised students who had been graduated not to forget the services of kyai, teachers, and parents who raised them. Including boarding school services which are the alma mater.

“Respect your teachers, your clerics, the ustaz who have taught you to provide life sciences that are useful for you and your religion. Never forget, let alone betray the people who have raised you. I think this is important to continue to emphasize,” he said. Muzani on location.

Furthermore, Muzani said, in political etiquette in Indonesia, it is rare for our leaders to express their gratitude to the people who have raised them, let alone thank the parties that have raised their good name. In fact, he is opposite and competes with the people who raised him for a position. According to Muzani, this kind of political tradition does not show good manners and morals.

“In Indonesia, it is rare for our politics to show gratitude to the people who raised them. In our political tradition, gratitude is a rare thing, it is rare that it seems like it becomes an expensive thing. People who are raised by the party, actually compete with the party that raised them. compete for positions. Our political manners have been shunned by our political actors,” said Muzani who is also Secretary General of Gerindra.

“This is something real. So our leaders must return to adab as taught by our parents, our previous leaders. Respect and mutual respect is something that has been taught for decades or even hundreds of years in our tradition. But morals or the adab of being grateful to know who gave the service is now starting to disappear,” added Muzani.

“The manners and morals of gratitude are a way for us to seek blessings for the good of building the nation and state. We want our teachers, our parents, and the people who have raised us to feel proud of the achievements we have achieved. So it is important for us to be grateful to those who have raised us, because it is for us to be able to achieve the common good,” explained Muzani.

That is why Muzani hopes that the Riyadhussalam Islamic boarding school can create future leaders who can maintain the tradition of gratitude in the life of the nation and state.

“If morality no longer exists in our lives, then there is no longer a sense of mutual respect and gratitude to those who have raised us. Because this is where the future leaders of the nation emerge. nation, people, teachers, to the kyai who have raised you,” concluded Muzani.****
