Fajarasia.id – The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) has predicted rainfall across all areas of Jakarta on Sunday, November 16, 2025. Showers are expected to begin in the morning and intensify into thunderstorms by midday before easing into cloudy conditions later in the evening.
In West Jakarta, Central Jakarta, and North Jakarta, light rain is forecast to start at 07:00 WIB and subside by 10:00 WIB. However, thunderstorms are expected to strike these areas around 13:00 WIB. By late afternoon, from 16:00 to 22:00 WIB, the skies will remain heavily overcast.
Similar conditions are expected in East Jakarta and South Jakarta. Light rain will fall in the morning, clear briefly by 10:00 WIB, and return as thunderstorms at 13:00 WIB. Rain showers will continue into the afternoon before transitioning into thick cloud cover between 19:00 and 22:00 WIB.
In the Thousand Islands (Kepulauan Seribu), light rain is projected from 07:00 to 13:00 WIB. Although precipitation will ease later in the day, the area will remain under heavy cloud cover from 16:00 to 22:00 WIB.
BMKG’s forecast indicates a wet and stormy Sunday across the capital, with residents advised to prepare for thunderstorms in the afternoon and cloudy skies into the evening.****
