Fajarasia.co – The proposal of three presidential candidates (candidates) for 2024 from the NasDem Party is still a hot topic in the community.
The three names are DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan, TNI Commander Andika Perkasa, and Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo. The three were selected at the National Working Meeting (Rakernas) of the NasDem Party in Jakarta, on Friday, June 17, 2022.
Political observer from the Research Data Center (Pusdari) Nana Saehuna believes that NasDem is trying to get a coattail effect in the hope of getting electoral blessings from the three names that have been officially promoted.
“It is undeniable that NasDem hopes that the coattail effect from the appointment of Anies, Ganjar and Andika as presidential candidates from NasDem is a kind of electoral blessing,” said Nana Saehuna, Sunday (19/06/2022).
Nana continued, NasDem is well aware that the three figures are able to have a positive impact on the party considering that the names Ganjar and Anies are always in the top 3 of the presidential candidates with the highest electability.
“Although Surya Paloh said he didn’t give a damn about the survey results, the fact is that 2 of the 3 presidential candidates chosen are big names who are always in the top 3 presidential candidates with the highest electability,” explained Nana.
Nana predicts that NasDem will choose Anies as the candidate to be promoted, considering that the other 2 names already have colors, so that is quite difficult for NaDem.
“I predict it will end up with Anies. We know that Ganjar is red, in fact the red is very sticky until he emphasized that I was PDIP when his name appeared as a NasDem presidential candidate and it must be remembered that Ganjar has a good relationship with Megawati,” he said.
“On the other hand, the relationship between NasDem and PDIP is currently less harmonious, like oil and water, we can see on the surface during a banquet at the Palace with Jokowi, it seems that Surya Paloh and Mega don’t have that feeling, the feeling of the coalition is close but the body is far away,” he added.
For that, Nana continued, NasDem can’t expect much from Ganjar to get electoral favors considering that Ganjar’s position is strictly a PDIP cadre and follows Megawati’s direction regarding the upcoming 2024 presidential candidate.
“NasDem can’t expect much from Ganjar to get an electoral effect, he’s a firm person, how come I’m PDI-P and follow Megawati’s directions,” he said.
Meanwhile Andika, said Nana, even though she is not a political party, will make it difficult for NasDem because the TNI’s position is active so there is not enough time to do publicity in gaining support.
“Pak Andika as an active general should not be brought into political affairs. I think this is the most difficult choice for NasDem because the impact will be dangerous if it turns out that General Andika is tempted by political desires,” he explained.
However, Nana did not question the choice of NasDem considering it was an internal party area and it was considered natural.
“Naturally, I only reminded Mr. Andika to focus on working for the welfare of the soldiers and strengthening the country’s security territory, not to be tempted by political desires,” he concluded.****
