Fajarasia.co – Secretary General of the NasDem Party Johnny G Plate said the chairman of the Democratic Party Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) is scheduled to meet with the chairman of NasDem Surya Paloh.
“The meeting is today, Thursday (23/6),” he said at the NasDem Party DPP Office, Jakarta, Thursday (23/6/2022).
He explained that the meeting was a follow-up to several previous meetings. AYH’s first meeting with the team came to visit Surya Paloh. Furthermore, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) and AHY have come to meet Surya Paloh.
“Tomorrow is a follow-up meeting to build more specific, closer and open communication,” he said.
He suspects that the meeting was held because the NasDem Party has announced three presidential candidates (candidates) to be promoted in the upcoming 2024 general election.
Surya Paloh has met the President of the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) Ahmad Syaikhu to discuss a number of big agendas ahead of the election.
Surya himself emphasized that the meeting had not yet discussed the formation of a coalition, but was still limited to gathering and preparing for political cooperation ahead of the general election.
Surya also does not deny that there is a possibility that a coalition will occur between NasDem, PKS and Democrats.
“The possibility exists, we don’t know when,” he said.
He emphasized that currently NasDem is still communicating and exploring with other political parties.
This is done as an effort to build public awareness in welcoming elections, facing elections and running elections.
