God willing, this match can be watched live by Indonesian national team supporters at the stadium, because we plan to sell match tickets,” said PSSI General Chair Mochamad Iriawan in his official statement, Sunday (29/5/2022).
This match is an agenda for the preparation of the Garuda squad to take part in the 2023 Asian Cup Qualification. Indonesia is in the same group as Kuwait, Nepal and Jordan. The inaugural match will be against Kuwait on June 11.
“Of course the trial against Bangladesh is good as preparation for the Asian Cup Qualification in early June. We are targeting the Indonesian national team to be able to win against Bangladesh. This is very important to raise Indonesia’s FIFA ranking. Hopefully the players will continue to work hard, always give their best, and achieve maximum results later, “he added.
Currently, the Garuda squad is undergoing a training camp in Bandung under the polish of coach Shin Tae-yong. They have been practicing at the Persib Sidolig Stadium since last Friday (27/5).
