Shouted by 'President' by Residents During Visit in Majalengka, Puan: Alhamdulillah

Fajarasia.co – During a working visit (Kunker) to Majalengka Regency, West Java, the Chairman of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Puan Maharani, attended a training and socialization of Liquid Organic Fertilizer (POC) processing to farmers. Many residents later gave their support for Puan to become president.

The training and socialization of Liquid Organic Fertilizer processing was held in Jatiwangi Village, Majalengka Regency, Thursday (22/9/2022). Puan’s arrival was warmly welcomed by around 2,000 farmers and residents.

Along the way to the location, residents scrambled to shake hands with Mrs. They kept shouting Mrs.’s name.

“Miss president! Miss president! Miss president!” residents shouted.

In this event, Puan saw the practice of making organic pesticides. He was accompanied by a number of members of the Indonesian House of Representatives, including a member of the PDI-P faction (PDIP) for the Majalengka electoral district, H Sutrisno.

The technical guidance in this activity is related to the use of natural materials, Biosaka to increase agricultural production. Puan saw the process of making it using ground grass material, then adding water and then spraying it on the plants.

Puan also donated rice and corn seeds, 50 hectares each to farmers. He then had a dialogue with farmers and residents who were present.

One of them was Ibu Item who asked for a lower price of fertilizer and prosperity for the villages. Then there is also a seblak seller named Dea who hopes to get BLT BBM and KIP for his child.

“I have caught the desire of the people here, cheap and easily available fertilizers, BLT BBM and KIP. I’m looking for a solution, yes, “said Puan.

The first woman to serve as Chair of the Indonesian House of Representatives stated that agriculture is the life and death of a nation. Therefore, said Puan, she continues to fight for the aspirations of the farmers.

“The DPR RI is very concerned about the welfare of farmers like you all. For me, advanced agriculture means that the farmers will prosper,” he said.

At the end of the event, Puan held a question and answer session with the media crew. When the interview was in progress, the people who were present again shouted ‘Miss President’.

“I went around meeting residents in order to work together to absorb the aspirations of the people. If someone shouts and says that (Mrs. President), yes, Alhamdulillah, “said Puan.

Even so, the chairman of the PDIP DPP stated that the presidential candidate was still waiting for directions from the general chairman, Megawati Soekarnoputri.

According to Puan, the most important thing at this time is how PDIP cadres continue to work in the field so that they can understand the problems faced by the community and help provide solutions.

“When it comes to presidential candidates, we follow and wait for the General Chairwoman,” said Bung Karno’s grandson.***
