Regarding the Human Confinement Case in Langkat, 5 Police Are Sanctioned

Fakarasia.co – Five police officers suspected of being involved in the human cage case of the inactive Langkat Regent Publishing the Wind War Plan have been sanctioned.

The Head of Public Relations of the North Sumatran Police, Kombes Pol. Hadi Wahyudi, explained that the 4 members of the Langkat Police and 1 from the Binjai Police had been examined and underwent an ethics trial by the North Sumatran Police some time ago.

“There are sanctions for demotion, then postponement of promotions, transfers, not receiving regular salaries. There are various kinds of sanctions given to the five suspects in accordance with their respective roles and we have discussed it,” Hadi explained to reporters at the North Sumatra Police Headquarters, Tuesday (24/5/2022).

He explained that based on the examination, the five persons were not directly involved.

“Regarding the role of the five, they are aware of (the case, ed), but they do not report it to their superiors or their leaders,” said Hadi.

It should be noted that the North Sumatran Police have named Terbit Plan as a suspect. Terbit was named a suspect, because it was suspected that there had been a practice of torture against several people in his cage, up to 4 people were killed.

In total there were 9 people who were ensnared as suspects in that case, including the children of Terbit Plan.

Meanwhile, based on information from the TNI Commander General Andika Perkasa, this case also involved 10 members.

He ensured that the legal process against the members involved would continue. Currently, there are already 10 people who have become suspects from elements of the TNI.

“At that time, there were 9 from the TNI, but now there are 10 suspects,” Andika said after visiting PBNU Chairman Gus Yahya at the PBNU office, Jakarta, Monday this week. ****
