Fajarasia.co – The Metro Jaya Police are still investigating evidence of more than Rp. 2.3 billion in cash which was confiscated in four safes during a search at the headquarters of the Khilafatul Muslimin community organization (Ormas) in Bandar Lampung, Lampung.
“We found four iron safes containing more than IDR 2.3 billion in cash,” said Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Pol, Endra Zulpan, Monday (13/6/2022).
Upon finding the amount of money, investigators will conduct an in-depth investigation. Exploration is carried out to find out the origin of the source of the money.
“We investigated that first, what was clear was that it was found in a safe at the Khilafatul Muslimin head office and it was funds from this mass organization,” he said.
“I can’t convey that yet, it’s a detail, right later,” said Zulpan.
In addition to cash evidence, investigators also found a number of attributes of mass organizations, books, bulletins, posters, and computers that store documents from the Khilafatul Muslimin at the head office in Bandar Lampung City.
“Then, we also find financial records and also we find a savings account for a holding account,” he said.
Polda Metro Jaya has again arrested four high-ranking leaders of the Khilafatul Muslimin who were arrested on June 11, 2022, in three different areas.
“The arrest of these four people is the result of the development of the results of the examination conducted by investigators against the supreme leader of the Muslim caliphate, brother Abdul Qadir Hasan Baraja,” said Zulpan.
Four people have been named as suspects, three of them AA, IN and SW and F. Currently, suspect F is traveling from Medan to Jakarta.
The alleged article is Article 59 Paragraph 4 Letter C in conjunction with Article 82A Paragraph 2 of Law RI Number 16 of 2017 concerning the stipulation of Government Regulation in Lieu of Law Number 2 of 2017 concerning Amendments to Law Number 17 of 2013 concerning Community Organizations into Law. -Law and or Article 14 Paragraph (1) and Paragraph (2) and/or Article 15 of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 1 Year 1946 concerning Criminal Law Regulations.****
