Victorio in a statement received in Jakarta, Sunday, said that in carrying out bureaucratic reform within the Ministry of Defense (Kemenhan) and the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), it is necessary to have apparatus capable of keeping up with the times and supporting development and the ideals of the nation.
“State officials must be able to answer big challenges in various fields of life, both on a global, national and local scale,” he said.
For that, according to him, government bureaucrats are needed that are dynamic, adaptive, visionary, responsible, and oriented to public services.
He added that the challenges and tasks faced by the Ministry of Defense will be diverse, especially in the face of the increasingly complex and dynamic development of the strategic environment at the global, regional and national levels.
Therefore, employees of the Ministry of Defense must continue to strive to develop new competencies and innovations to support task optimization.
Victorio sees that the professionals in Indonesia who can fill these positions are very qualified in terms of quantity and quality.
The professional human resources can be brought in from the TNI and civilians who are competent and have backgrounds according to their needs and workload.
Nevertheless, the position of office should not be dominated by certain institutions and branches in the TNI and civilians.
“The need for fulfillment of positions in the organizational structure of the Ministry of Defense can come from various institutions and branches of the TNI or from competent civilians.
