“The important thing is that we remember the late Mr. Taufiq, as was conveyed by our President this afternoon, how much service the late Mr. Taufiq Kiemas has made for this nation,” said Nasaruddin at the Tahlil, Yasinan, and Prayer for the 9th Anniversary of M’s death. Meanwhile, Chairman of Baitul Muslimin Indonesia (Bamusi) Hamka Haq said the message conveyed by Taufiq Kiemas was that the PDI-P should not leave the five groups in Indonesia.
First, it must cooperate with Muslims without prejudice to other religions, because Islam is part of the majority of this nation. Second, he continued, they must not leave the largest tribe in Indonesia, namely the Javanese, so it is necessary to respect their customs and culture.
Third, the PDI-P must establish relationships with institutions that are 100 percent nationalist in spirit, namely the TNI and Polri. Fourth, the PDI-P must continue to cooperate with the largest nationalist parties.
Fifth, the PDI-P should not at all strain relations with the mass media, because the press will convey good things to do.
Previously, President Joko Widodo before him said Taufiq Kiemas was a religious nationalist figure.
“He grew up from a religiously devout family with very strong nationalism. Mr. Taufiq Kiemas is a politician with a wide network, wide association, good communicator, unifier, and able to embrace differences,” said Jokowi before inaugurating the At-Taufiq Mosque. .
In addition, Jokowi assessed that Taufiq Kiemas is a figure who continues to uphold Pancasila, the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia, the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia, and Bhinneka Tunggal Ika.
