Fajarasia.co – The Minister of Agrarian and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN), Sofyan Djalil admits that the practice of land grabbing allegedly carried out by the land mafia is still rampant.
According to Sofyan Djalil, his party has taken action against 125 employees and imposed sanctions for various violations in the case of land mafia practices.
“Those who are proven to have abused their authority to carry out land mafia actions have also been given sanctions even up to dismissal,” he said, Wednesday (15/6/2022).
Sofyan also explained that the land mafia has a number of modes of action by means of evil conspiracy, including; issue and/or use more than one base letter.
Then, he continued, there are those who issue and/or use documents that are indicated to be false, carry out occupation or control of land without a permit on land belonging to others and also change/move/remove land boundary markers that have been passed down for generations.
“There are also those who apply for a replacement certificate because it was lost until there was a double certificate,” he said.
According to him, the land mafia also makes use of the judiciary, both the police and the courts.
“Then file a lawsuit in court to be declared the owner of the land, while the legitimate land owner does not know or is not a party to the lawsuit. Then, by making a purchase of land that is still the object of the case and trying to make the court’s decision in favor of him / group,” he explained.
Sofyan emphasized that the practice of land mafia is also common in the Tangerang Regency area.
“Yes, indeed the Tangerang Regency area exists and the method is very scary,” he added.
Separately, Doni, one of the farmers in Kalibaru Village, Pakuhaji District, Tangerang Regency, admitted that he was restless with the barrier posts installed in the fields they were working on.
“Not only me but many farmers in my area are restless because the stakes were installed without prior knowledge and notification,” he admitted.
He said, the peg made of bamboo and painted red at the top is not known by whom it was installed.
“I’m afraid it’s the land mafia mode, because the red-painted bamboo mode has often happened and is carried out by the land mafia,” he said.
Doni emphasized that the farmers are worried that the pegging is part of the work of the land mafia, which has often occurred in the Pantura area of Tangerang Regency.
“I don’t know who and when these stakes were installed. However, these stakes began to exist since last Monday (6/6/2022),” Doni said softly.***
