KRI IG Ngurah Rai-332 sailed with 3 warships from friendly countries

Fajarasia.co – KRI I Gusti (IG) Ngurah Rai-332 together with three warships from friendly countries who are members of the Joint Multilateral Rim of Pacific Exercise Task Force (Satgas Latma Rimpac) 2022 carry out joint voyages in Pacific Ocean waters.

As quoted in a written release from the Navy Information Service (Dispenal) in Jakarta, Wednesday (22/6/2022), the joint voyage which was carried out recently was aimed at strengthening coordination among elements of warships before carrying out the 2022 Rimpac Exercise.

In the activity, which was attended by four elements of warships, namely KRI I Gusti Ngurah Rai-332 representing Indonesia, INS Satpura-F48 from India, KD Lekir-26 from Malaysia, and RSS Intrepid-69 from Singapore, several series of exercises were held, such as the Divtac Maneuver exercise. who trained the maneuvers of the ships and formed nine alternating formations.

Furthermore, the exercise ended with the taking of practice photos by the IN476 Helicopter flown from INS Satpura-F48.

The joint voyage began after the four warship elements departed from the United States Naval Base Guam Pier (US Naval Base Guam) on June 16, 2022.

Previously, KRI I Gusti Ngurah Rai-332 was appointed as a task force representing Indonesia following the 2022 Rimpac Latma in Hawaii, United States. The Latma Rimpac 2022 task force is commanded by Marine Colonel (F) Lewis N. Nainggolan, who is the Commander of KRI I Gusti Ngurah Rai-332.

Latma Rimpac is the largest naval exercise in the world organized by the United States Navy’s 3rd Fleet and the US Marine Force Pacific by involving countries in the Indo-Pacific region, Europe, and Asia.

In addition to improving the capabilities and professionalism of soldiers, this joint exercise is carried out in accordance with the expectations of the Chief of Naval Staff (Kasal) Admiral Yudo Margono in realizing diplomacy and improving naval friendly relations between participating countries.
