Fajarasia.co – Member of the House of Representatives from the PDI-P (PDIP) faction, Johan Budi, assessed that the figure of DPR Chairman Puan Maharani has met the criteria for a candidate for national leader. In fact, according to Johan, Puan deserves to run as a presidential candidate in the 2024 presidential election.
“In my personal opinion, it is very feasible (to run as a presidential candidate), if we want to choose a leader, it must be based on the track record of his previous abilities,” said Johan Budi to reporters, Saturday (30/7/22)
The former spokesperson for the KPK explained that, from her track record on the national political stage, Puan has been trained.
“In my opinion, Mbak Puan has gone through a lot, from being an ordinary member of the DPR, then becoming the chairman of the largest party faction, then Ms. Puan was once the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture, and now the Chair of the DPR. This requires the capacity and capability of a leader,” said Johan.
“Career journey is what I call ability. Besides that, he is also the chairman of the DPP of the party that won the 2014 and 2019 elections. That’s right, Ms. Puan manages big parties,” added Johan again.
Furthermore, the Legislator for the East Java VII electoral district admitted that he always saw a leader from the track record he had lived.
“I see Mbak Puan from her career journey has been tested and occupies posts that require the capacity and capability of a leader,” he said.
What does Puan mean recently that she has been actively visiting a number of areas? According to Johan, this is in order to absorb the aspirations of the people. According to Johan, Puan is carrying out her duties as Chair of the DPR and is very concerned about the condition of the people in the region.
