Fajarasia.co – Chairperson of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Puan Maharani, took part in a leisurely walk or jog with the media crew. This activity was organized by the PDI-P (PDIP) to celebrate the 77th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia (RI).
This jogging event with journalists was held at the Gelora Bung Karno Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Sunday (21/8/2022). PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto along with a number of administrators and members of the PDIP faction of the DPR RI also enlivened this activity, including Djarot Saiful Hidayat, Charles Honoris, Aria Bima, and Rano Karno.
The joint jogging agenda was held in a relaxed and warm manner. The event was packed full of the meaning of independence by symbolizing the numbers 17 and 8, where participants could choose to race around the GBK for 17 rounds or 8 rounds.
Just like the other jogging participants, Puan wears a vest with the Garuda logo on her right chest and Indonesian writing on her back and a red hat. While running leisurely, he greeted and smiled when he passed the journalists who took part in this activity.
From time to time, Puan seemed to be talking and taking pictures with the jogging participants. He also encouraged journalists who took part in the competition.
After a leisurely walk, Puan said that this activity was one of the ways for the PDIP family to commemorate the 77th Indonesian Independence Day. In addition, joint jogging events are held to maintain health and build an attitude of mutual cooperation in building the nation.
“Of course in a healthy soul there is a strong, clean mind so that we can meet the future by working together. Moreover, this is accompanied by friends from the media,” said Puan.
“Yes, that’s how we interpret the 77th independence of Indonesia so that we are healthy and work together for a better Indonesia,” continued the chairman of the PDIP DPP.
Meanwhile, according to Hasto, PDIP deliberately held leisure activities because it wanted to invite the media crew to take part in enlivening the commemoration of Indonesia’s Independence Day.
“PDI Perjuangan invites media colleagues to relax once in a while. The spirit of exercising must be encouraged even though we understand that media colleagues find it difficult to regulate the rhythm of exercising regularly,” said Hasto.
The leisure walks organized by PDIP were also enlivened by music events. PDIP also gave door prizes to add to the excitement of the event.****
