Fajarasia.co – The Executive Director of Indonesia Politic Opinion (IPO) Dedi Kurnia Syah said that the statement by the Secretary General of PDIP Hasto Kristiyanto regarding the figure of a presidential candidate (candidate) who would be carried in the 2024 presidential election was directed at Puan Maharani.
Meanwhile, Hasto previously said that Megawati was looking for a strong leader ideologically.
On the other hand, this figure also has at least traveled throughout Indonesia and really knows the people.
Dedi assessed that Hasto’s statement strengthened the figure of the Chairperson of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Puan Maharani.
The first reason is that after the National Working Meeting there is a fundamental change from the political communication maneuvers of the PDIP elite, starting with President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) who often asks to be accompanied by Puan Maharani.
“Until Hasto’s statements about a strong candidate for PDIP, referring to that statement, it strongly points to Puan Maharani,” said Dedi to reporters, Tuesday (19/7/2022).
Second, according to Dedi, Puan fulfills Hasto’s requirements, even being the only figure in PDIP who has a strong party ideology.
“Even when Megawati’s mother faced pressure from the New Order, Puan was the only one who accompanied Megawati,” he said.
In addition, Puan is a PDIP cadre who has loyalty and broad public access.
Therefore, Hasto’s statement strongly points to Puan Maharani.
“And this is rational, PDIP will actually be more solid if it is Puan who is carried, because the spirit of the struggle lies with Megawati, and Puan is certainly her direct successor, both ideologically and biologically,” he concluded.
Previously, the Secretary General of the DPP PDIP Hasto Kristiyanto asked his party management and cadres to obey the principle of the presidential candidate.
He reiterated that in PDI-P, the mechanism for the presidential candidacy was in the hands of PDI-P General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri.
“PDI-P cadres must obey the principles. Megawati considers what is best for the nation and state, looks for a leader who is truly rooted in the people, led by the Pancasila ideology, so that she can determine the future direction. That’s what Mrs. Mega is looking for,” said Hasto in his statement, Monday (18/7/2022).
This was conveyed by Hasto when he was present at the Three Pillars Meeting of the PDIP Party in Central Kalimantan Province (Central Kalimantan), Sunday (17/7/2022).
According to him, Megawati is looking for an ideologically strong leader. On the other hand, this figure also has at least traveled throughout Indonesia and really knows the people.
“By traveling around Indonesia, he understands the condition of Indonesia with its cultural diversity, natural resources, to its geographical condition which is surrounded by oceans,” said Hasto.****
