Fajarasia.co – Commission I of the DPRD of Kampar Regency, Riau Province, summoned palm oil processing company PT Prima Anugerah Sawit Sejahtera (PASS) in a hearing on Monday, because it suspected the company was operating outside the permitted area.
“This problem was discovered when there were public complaints about CSR (corporate social responsibility) issues,” said Chairman of Commission I of the Kampar DPRD, Zukfan Azmi, accompanied by Juswari Umar Said, Iib Nur Saleh, Cardinal and Jamaan in the Commission I Meeting Room of the Kampar DPRD.
The palm oil processing factory operates on an area of approximately 3 hectares outside the area recommended for permits from the kelurahan.
Permission was granted from Sungai Pagar Village, Kampar Kiri Hilir District, but this palm oil company (PKS) operates in Pantai Raja Village, Perhentian Raja District.
Zulfan Azmi said that he was aware of the suspicion of maladministration at PT PASS when he and members of Commission I DPRD went to the location on April 27, 2022.
They also received complaints from the community about waste pollution in the residents’ rivers and also differences in company documents where the location of the company’s mini PKS was different from the location of the permit granted.
“Then Commission I checked the documents. It turned out that after checking the permit documents were different from the location of the operation. Therefore, we called the company,” he explained through a release received by the Editor, Tuesday (5/7/2022).
He mentioned that it has been operating for almost a year, the permit has been issued but the location of the operation is not correct with the permit.
Another position
“The permit submitted by PT PASS in another sub-district is the position of establishing a company in another sub-district. This is what makes us call the company to ask for clarification,” said the PAN politician.
This is related to regional regulations regarding spatial and regional planning (RTRW) which must be obeyed because they also contain sanctions.
“If you have violated the RTRW Perda, all of them must be evaluated because the perda must be obeyed together,” he said.
Meanwhile, PT PASS, represented by Manager Fahri, said that the permit was granted in accordance with the certificate the company had.
“The problem is because the certificate we have is in the Pagar River, a permit is made on the Pagar River, and we stand on the Pagar River. If later it is known that it turns out to be on Raja Beach, we must go to Raja Beach and we are willing to repeat the permit to Raja Beach, Perhentian District King,” explained Fahri. *****
