Fajarasia.co – Coordinator of Puan Maharani’s Volunteer Fighters, North Sumatra, Nugra Ferdino, responded to the destruction of Puan Maharani’s billboards in the city of Medan.
Ferdino said that the incident was very unfortunate for the volunteers of Puan Maharani who independently put up the billboards to socialize the grandson of the proclaimer of independence of Indonesia Soekarno to the public.
“Of course we deeply regret the destruction of the billboards that we installed independently. This is a volunteer activity, from the people, but apparently it scares the opponent, but in the end more and more people know who Puan Maharani is,” he said, Tuesday night, August 9, 2022.
However, Ferdino emphasized that the incident did not dampen the enthusiasm of the volunteers in the slightest, but instead strengthened their determination to support Puan as the next president of Jokowi’s leadership.
“This incident will not dampen our determination to support Puan Maharani, on the contrary we are more enthusiastic about conveying Puan’s work,” he added.
Ferdino also said that such an incident was not new, so his party did not need to react excessively, because it would only drain energy. Instead, he said, what was more important was to continue to socialize the true figure of Puan to the public.
“Puan Maharani is used to being bullied, including being disturbed by volunteer socialization activities, but we can see that all this time Puan has continued to work, solidly with the people, and we have not receded an inch,” he concluded.
For information, hundreds of billboards reading ‘Puan Maharani President 2024’ were installed in various corners of the city of Medan. Recently, some of the billboards were damaged by unknown people, such as the billboards installed on Jalan Letda Sujono, and the billboards near the Bandar Selamat Toll Gate.****
