Fajarasia.co – After releasing the song “Suka Kamu” on May 13 and “Oh Baby Remix” on May 29, Cinta Laura has now launched her third single titled “It’s You”.
Quoted from a press release, Saturday, if the song “Suka Kamu” tells the story of a woman who is in love, the song “It’s You” is a continuation when a relationship does not go smoothly so separation is inevitable. However, Cinta does not want the song to be a breakup song full of tears.
“When making “It’s You”, I told Eka that I wanted to make a song about a breakup. But I don’t want the main character in this song to blame himself for his failed relationship,” said Cinta.
“In my opinion, it is rare for a song about a breakup in Indonesia where a woman knows that it’s not her fault, but her partner and dares to make the right decision to separate. You could say that this character is the common thread between “Suka Kamu” and “It’s You”,” he continued.
Carrying pop RnB, Cinta admits that “It’s You” doesn’t give her a hard time because it uses a genre of music that she often listens to so that the way of singing and the details on her vocals are much easier to work out than “Suka Kamu.” However, there is one characteristic that stands out in this song, namely the strong bass playing.
“Whatever the genre, emotion, and rhythm, I’m the type of singer who needs a strong bass because bass gives an attitude to a song. Because my attitude is strong, so my songs must also describe that,” explained Cinta.
