Basarnas Banten Still Searching for a Lebak resident who was swept away in the Sasak River

Fajarasia.co – The Banten National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas) conducted a sweep of Lebak Regency residents who were swept away and lost in the Sasak River,
Saturday.

Head of Basarnas Banten, Adil Triyanto, in Serang, said that his party hopes that the Lebak residents who have been swept away can be found as soon as possible, so the search must be maximized until night and early morning.

The resident who was swept away was named Thomas (9 ) with the address Kampung Dungus RT 03 RW 03, Asem Margaluyu Village, Lebak Regency

The accident on the river occurred at 19:52 WIB, in the flow of the Sasak River, Cibadak District, Lebak Regency.

The incident started when several children were playing soccer. After finishing playing soccer, as many as six children cleaned their bodies in the Sasak River.

However, one child slipped and was swept away by the river current.

Their friends tried to help, but the drowning victim has not been found so far.

Sweeping is carried out using water counters, trucks, personnel, communications counters, medical counters, and hazmat PPE.

The search and rescue also involved a joint team from the Lebak BPBD, TNI, Polri, Tagana volunteers, and the local community.

“We hope that the joint team will be able to find residents who were swept away in the Sasak River,” he said again. ****
