Fajarasia.co – Bank Mandiri continues to support the Directorate General of Taxes at the Ministry of Finance in developing a tax system in the country to increase state revenues. This time, the company will add a 16-digit NPWP ID/multi billing feature to create and pay for all payment channels of Bank Mandiri.
President Director of Bank Mandiri Darmawan Junaidi said this initiative was the company’s response to the need for national tax interoperability following the plan to implement a Population Identification Number (NIK) as a Taxpayer Identification Number (NPWP) in October 2023.
Currently, taxpayers are still able to pay their obligations on all payment channels of Bank Mandiri, both offline (at branch offices) and online (super app Livin’ by Mandiri, super platform Kopra by Mandiri, ATM, EDC) by inputting NPWP amounting to 15 digits.
In this regard, the agreement for the inauguration of the collaboration was signed by the Director General of Taxes at the Ministry of Finance Suryo Utomo and Bank Mandiri President Director Darmawan Junaidi.
“In the future, we hope that this well-established synergy can be continued in line with the digital transformation that is being carried out by Bank Mandiri and also the innovation of the Directorate General of Taxes in utilizing information technology developments, in order to accelerate data transmission and increase state revenues from taxes,” he said. Darmawan explained, this synergy is expected to make it easier for customers to pay taxes on all Bank Mandiri channels. It was recorded that last year, tax payments made by taxpayers through various Bank Mandiri networks reached Rp. 211.8 trillion. *****
